and i guess i did miss them after all. they brought me some nice gifts, like a bagel. i’m back to a happy life with my family. too bad they won’t let me sleep on the bed like the other two.

turtles make me sick

literally. i had no idea i would be barfing like this when i took my first bite. i have been puking and puking just about everywhere i can find. some for fun, but mostly because i think eating that turtle made me ill. i have no idea why it would affect me so much, i mean i do eat poop after all and that seems to sit fine within the intestines.

i bet the problem is the disgusting water the turtles were marinating in. i think the littlest family member is supposed to clean it once in a while, but she never does. here i thought the brown liquid would be like a delicious marinade at least, but no, it was putrid. i think this whole thing is enough to make me go vegetarian from here on out.

and it was gooooood. i know it sounds kind of cliche but it really tasted just like chicken. i’ve been watching some of these food shows lately with the male human here. can you believe they have entire networks dedicated to food? anyway it really is just like that one guy says, the best stuff is always in the head. i just wish i could learn how to use a toothpick to get some of this shell out of my teeth.

man did i have a great day. magical human treats? check! and not just once, TWICE! first off i found a shiny egg shaped thing in a plastic bag the female brought home. it was lots of different colors and all kinds of shiny so i had to bite it. turns out it was sweet stuff filled with more creamy sweet stuff, can you believe it? the only thing i don’t get is why they put such a gross covering on it, i don’t how humans can eat that shiny wrapping.then later they left me, to go who knows where without me, and i found something else delectable. i was of course minding my own business sleeping on my usual pedestal in the living room and what do i smell? CRACKERS!! a whole box of em. i managed to chew down a ton and snap this pic before they came home and found me. oh yea. now i’m off to find that tube i was chewing on earlier with the waxy stuff in it.

while my family is gone i’ve taken to talking more with all of my friends. i have quite alot of them actually. sometimes i chase them and sometimes they chase me, but i always win. today i’d like to introduce fuzzy yellow dog. he’s a little shy so had to wrestle with him to get him to let me take his picture, but i think he secretly want to be famous. sometimes he really gets crazy and attacks me but usually he just lays around, i don’t know why he’s so lazy. well now i gotta go chase him around the house and toss him in the air. see ya tomorra

the food box

so i’ve devised a clever way to get one of these two new humans to give me food from that giant white box they get all their food out of. i’ve decided to carefully watch them and the next time one of them goes to get anything out of there i will follow them, paw at their legs and then sit down and stare at them. i think it will work quite well. magical human treats here i come.

so here i am another day. turns out i can get by surprisingly well without most of my family around here. i think i woke up the guy sleeping on the couch this morning though. i couldn’t help it, the hand was there and i had to lick it over and over. i was really hoping i could get something interesting to eat out him, but he just gave me more of that tasteless stuff i always get. i managed to get one of these new people to take me on a walk but for some reason she didn’t understand my signal that i wanted to go faster and not where she was headed. maybe she thought i was going to choke or something. i noticed some interesting food items in the fridge, i think i might try and get at those tomorrow. i was also tormented by that same brightly colored animal that rattles. i chased it around the entire house for a good 15 minutes and it still came back for more. i don’t know what to do about that, but i’ll figure something out. i’ve also been thinking alot about where all the food is kept, in that big white box, i might write more of my thoughts tomorrow, stay tuned.

first day without my family

well, my family left for some trip this morning. i was all excited to see them up so early and moving about. usually i’m awake by myself for a few hours before the big scary guy let’s me outside. they waved as they left, and i was a little sad. but now things are looking up, more people are here now and i’m not by myself anymore. well i gotta go find somewhere to scratch myself. -loby
